Hostels for Minority Students

Minority Hostels List : View

Pre-Matric Hostels

To facilitate quality education and to achieve Compulsory primary education 15 pre-matric boys hostels & 23 girls hostels are functioning under this Directorate with 2550 student beneficiaries/ inmates. The following facilities are provided in these hostels.

1. Feeding a student for 10 months at a cost of Rs.1650 / - per student.
2. Free accommodation.
3. Supply of uniforms with 3 at a cost of Rs.1000 / - per student.
4. Other cost per student 10 free per month.
5. Rs. 60 / - per Haircut per month for each student (only 5 times).
6. Issue of text book and stationery per year at a cost of Rs.400 / - per student.
7. Free medical expenses for each student dormitory for a period of 10 months.
8. Free mattress cover for each student.
9. Purchase of newspaper and magazine for a year for each student (actual rate).
10. Rs 1000/- Per Month for cleanliness of Hostel Toilets for 10 Months.
11. Sports equipment at a real rate set per dormitory once a year.

 

Post-Matric Hostels

To facilitate higher education 160 boys & 106 girls hostels are functioning with 4530 students under this Directorate. These beneficiaries are provided the following facilities.

1. Feeding a student for 10 months at a cost of Rs.1750 / - per student.
2. Recurring expenditure.
3. Free Hostel.
4. Rs 1250/- Per Month for cleanliness of Hostel Toilets for 10 Months.
5. For every Hostel Supply Of Newspaper(1English,1Kannada)
6. Payment of rent at the rate approved by the Administrative Department after the rental of buildings is set by the Department of Public Works.
7. Sports equipment once a year, per dormitory, at a set rate of 1.

  

Private Hostels run by Minority Organizations

 

Minority voluntary organizations are running hostels for the benefit of students studying from 5th to 10th Std. These Private hostels are being supported with a boarding grant Rs. 500 per boarder for 10 months in an academic year. Presently 60 Grant-in-aid pre matric minority hostels with a strength of 3350 are being supported by the Department.

Hostel's for Working Womens

Eligibility Criteria

All Minority Working Womens Belonging to Muslims,Christians,Jains,Buddhist,Sikhs and Parsis are Elgible.

1. They Should Be Above 18 Years of age.

2. They Should Be Employees in Govt/Pvt/IT/BT Sector

3. Those Who are Under Going Training for their Employment will also be Eligible to get Accomodation.

 

Facilities

1. Good Infrastructure with Library facilities

2. Good environment with CC Camera Surveillance

3. Free Accomodation(Rs 1500/-Per Month Food Charges)
